A Peek Inside the Current TBR Stack

My early summer reading is focused mainly on weird/magical realism/speculative story collections.

As proof, I included a photo above of my current TBR stack. Yep, there are two books by Samantha Schweblin, who I’ve never read, a collection by Matt Bell, who is one of the best, Bruno Schulz, who I’m reading for the first time based on a recommendation from one of my mentors, Kelly Link’s first collection, which is the only Link I haven’t read (I think), and one of Aimee Bender’s books that I haven’t fully completed.

It’s always cool to go back and read books that aren’t brand new—ones that I sadly missed when they first dropped.

There will probably be a book or two that I’ll wind up covering in the coming weeks that’s not here, but for now, I’m really glad to spend some time with the genre I love most of all.
