Join The Southern Summer Book Club!

I’ve been writing for Southern Review of Books since it launched back in 2020. During that time, I’ve interviewed many authors and reviewed lots of books. I’m thrilled to announced that I’m hosting a new series this summer, and that series is all about celebrating contemporary southern books.

“The Southern Summer Book Club” kicks off this month, with Kionna Walker LeMalle’s Behind The Waterline. As part of the series, a small Book Club, featuring Annie Phillips, Donna Newsome, and Scott Gould, discussed Kionna’s book, and I interviewed Kionna, too.

My local indie even has a great display, showcasing all of the titles for the summer.
